of any two or a combination of all three.

individual’s mind/body type informs the
diagnosis and determines the most effective treatment.

Siddha treatments, including those for HIV, are
prescribed specifically for an individual’s
mind/body type.
- Recognizing
HIV manifestations according to mind/body type
is required for proper diagnosis and treatment:
- Vatha:
skin disease, musculo-skeletal pain
- Pitta:
vomiting, diarrhea, sexually transmitted diseases
(STDs)
- Kapha:
respiratory conditions, including TB and TB
tumors
